***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING JOSHUA FEST 2008***

Joshua Fest Friends, Fans, and Associates,

It is with deep regret and sullenness that we must cancel our festival for this year.

There are several reasons that we have made such a decision—a decision that we did not come to easily by any means.  The future success of this festival depends in significant part on our ability to make financial ends meet.  With the downturn in the economy, as well as rising fuel costs, and with just over 3 months left, we were in a precarious position where we would be jeopardizing the festival, as well as the artists, vendors, and suppliers who would also be affected by a major financial loss.

Joshua Fest has always been a small not-for-profit ministry project. We have no paid staff, and rely entirely on the gracious dedication of a few key individuals.  However, some of those individuals' situations have changed dramatically, which has unfortunately and severely impacted our ability to effectively prepare for the festival.  Each year, many important tasks must be accomplished, relating to promotion and advertising, booking, sponsorships, volunteer recruiting, and general event planning.

Please trust that our decision has come with much consideration and prayer.  It is truly our belief that this decision will overall result in a better and more effective ministry. It is our full intent to keep the Joshua Fest organization and festival alive and strong, while always keeping with our priorities and ministry goals.

Those of you, and we believe there are many, who have made plans related to this year's event, we humbly apologize and request your forgiveness for the inconvenience and disappointment that you may encounter.  If you have already purchased tickets, we will honor your refund request, or, as an alternative, we will exchange your tickets for Joshua Fest 2009 tickets.  We are in the process of updating our website with more information on how to place your refund or exchange request. (We ask that you not dispute the credit card charges as this will cause problems with our credit card merchant account--we will manually process the refunds as they are individually requested.)

We truly thank each and every one of you for your ongoing prayers, support, understanding, and patience as we weather this difficult season.
