| Maranatha! Music singer-songwriter and passionate worship leader Tommy Walker releases a new recording of his classic worship song "He Knows My Name." Collaborating with award-winning producer Ed Cash, Walker's "He Knows My Name" serves as an emotion-stirring anthem, proclaiming that no one is forgotten by God.
"In 1997, I met a 7 year-old orphan in the Philippines named Jerry," explains Walker. "Every day he would ask, 'Tommy, what is my name?' Not many people on this earth knew this abandoned, extremely poor boy's name. I was able to tell him and his other orphaned friends that someone much greater than I did. I recorded this version of 'He Knows My Name' with children's voices on the new bridge because it echoes the sound of Jerry and the millions of forgotten children in the world who are not forgotten by God! The song serves as a prayer for the abandoned, nameless, friendless and forgotten to say, 'HE knows my name.' There is nothing more powerful than to know and declare that the God of heaven knows us and loves us." |
