Pop/Adult Contemporary group, Austins Bridge, is set to release the second single from their debut project on Daywind Records. “I See Daylight” will be serviced to AC Christian radio stations early this summer, following a radio promo tour to stations across the country. The first single from the album, “He’s In Control,” stayed at the top of the Radioactive Airplay Southern Gospel chart for an incredible five weeks.
“I See Daylight” was co-written by band member, Justin Rivers and BMI Award-winning and Dove nominee songwriter, Annie McRae (“If I had Not Been The Lord,” “There Is A Remedy,” “Low And Down”), and deals with the hope of each new dawn no matter what your pain or doubt. I see daylight, I’m gonna make it after all/I see daylight; here comes the risin’ of the dawn/Just over the mountain, I will leave the night behind/’Cause I’ve caught a glimpse of mornin’/I see daylight.
“We were thrilled with the response to our CD and first single,” exclaims Rivers, “and we’re really looking forward to branching out into the Christian AC market with the second song.” “Since our sound is diverse we are thrilled about the different formats where our music can be heard and more importantly, that our music ministry can be heard by a broad audience. We hope that the message of salvation will be embraced by anyone who hears our music.”
Austins Bridge is comprised of Rivers (lead vocalist/lead guitar/piano and former pianist for the Crabb Family), Jason Baird (guitar/bass), and Mike Kofahl (guitar) and together they have created one of the most unique and marketable sounds that will cross over into Pop, AC, Southern Gospel, and Country markets. There are plans to take the band into the mainstream market, as Austins Bridge is already drawing comparisons to stellar Country acts, Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town. The Christian markets are being distributed by New Day and Word Distribution, with the mainstream side being covered by WEA.
Shannon Becker, Senior Director, Marketing, Big Town Productions and Promotions, will be handling the radio promotion for “I See Daylight” and will be hosting the radio promo tour with Austins Bridge. "With the current success of country pop acts on the CCM charts, Austins Bridge is a perfect fit for Christian radio. Right now you can see Martina McBride, 33 Miles, and Rascal Flatts enjoying major success at the Christian AC format. And Geoff Moore’s career has taken an upswing with his cover of Brad Paisley's hugely popular song, ‘When I Get Where I'm Going,' that has just debuted on the chart. It proves that one of the most-shared audiences with CCM radio is Country, so programmers and listeners will be open to Austins Bridge."
