Long-time friends and popular soloists, Janet Paschal and Ivan Parker have announced plans to offer a package deal to promoters and churches nationwide. This exciting duo shared the stage together during the 2006 National Quartet Convention and earlier this year in several cities in Florida. As a result of the overwhelming response to these events featuring the two artists, Paschal and Parker have decided to offer this package to promoters and churches nationwide. In fact, the two will be featured on June 22 in Clayton NC, at the Clayton Center. This date will feature both artists individually and the two will share the stage during the second half of the evening. “Gaither fan favorites, Ivan and Janet have experienced so many wonderful events as the top soloists in their respective fields, it was time to pair the award-winning duo in a concert series featuring both artists,” states Teresa Parker of Parker Music Group, who will coordinate the scheduling of the joint concert events.

Both Paschal and Parker have been regularly featured for more than a decade on the highly successful and popular Gaither Homecoming Video and Concert Series. In fact, the Gaither Gospel Series will release The Best of Janet Paschal in June, and The Best of Ivan Parker in September.

Paschal was twice named among the Top Ten Favorite Female Vocalists by Charisma Magazine’s Annual Music Poll, commemorating combined sales figures exceeding a half million units. Her latest recording, Sounds Like Sunday, a collection of Paschal’s favorite hymns, will hit stores this summer. The recording marks Paschal’s return to the studio and touring following a year long hiatus as she battled breast cancer.

Inducted into the Alabama Hall of Fame in 1993, Parker has received more than 20 Soloist and Male Vocalist Awards from a variety of leading fan and trade publications, including the 2006 Fan Awards for Soloist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year by subscribers of The Singing News Magazine. He has released more than 13 solo recordings, producing countless hit releases, and his latest recording, That Was Then, This Is Now, has already produced yet another Top 20 hit, “Hit The Ground Running”.
