Illusionist Brock Gill is taking his unique three day outreach, Freedom Experience (FX), into households with the new DVD, Standing Room Only: A Behind the Scenes Documentary. Releasing August 21 through Vertical Ministries, the documentary follows the daily struggles it takes to put on a three day long live show of death defying escapes, illusions, BMX stunt teams, pro-skaters, freestyle motocross, live concerts and the presentation of the gospel.

From set up, to the stage, to behind the scenes, Standing Room Only lets you see more of Brock Gill than ever before. Brock continues to “wow” audiences and capture the attention of thousands in all new illusions such as the Bullet Catch, where Brock catches a bullet with his mouth, and death defying escapes, like the Water Coffin. See last minute panics and victories, as well as stunts gone wrong and exclusive interviews with the Freedom Experience team.

Standing Room Only contains the rare fusion of illusions and action sports with appearances by some of the world's best athletes. Appearing are BMX stunt team, Chaos on Wheels, and one of the nation’s top freestyle skateboarders, Tim Byrne, as well as motocross stunt experts, Team Faith, which features one of the nation’s top riders, Kevin Johnson. The DVD also boasts the music of pop/hip hop Group 1 Crew (Fervent Records) and pop/punk/rock group Eleventyseven (Flicker/Sony BMG).

“The impact of Freedom Experience far surpasses what I ever imagined,” says Gill. “It’s amazing to see what started as a crazy idea, come to fruition and succeed at this level. Lives are being changed by the thousands every year, and that just fuels my motivation and passion to keep growing as an illusionist and to keep building this outreach event.”

Since 2000, Brock has been averaging about 120 performances per year and the crowds have grown steadily from just a few hundred in 2000 to an average Freedom Experience audience size of more than 6,000 in 2006. Shattering its previous attendance records for the third straight year, FX drew more than 31,000 people last year, and 80% of the FX attendees did not regularly attend church. About 2,400 people made decisions to follow Christ at FX events in 2006 and they are now plugged in to local churches.

The three-day outreach begins in local schools as the FX team sets up assemblies to give students a taste of what they’ll encounter that week. Students are able to be part of the illusions and stunts and get to know Brock, as well as the stunt teams and band members.

“One of the best things that I like about Freedom Experience,” says Blanca of Group 1 Crew, “is that I feel that when we go into the schools we make such a bigger connection with the kids. It’s a really wonderful opportunity for us to hang out with them and get to know them while we’re here.”

The main evening events follow the school assemblies, and after the attention-capturing performances, FX members share a gospel message with the fans.

“Jesus Christ changed my life 180 degrees,” says Tim Byrne, addressing the audience during FX on the Standing Room Only documentary. “And today, He has become the powerhouse of my life and He has changed me forever, and He can change you.”

Illusionist, Brock Gill had an estimated total of 200,000 people attend his live shows last year. He also recently claimed first place in an Arenacross dirt bike race competition. Riding since he was 13, Brock Gill also takes his skill to the stage incorporating his riding skills with his illusions. His touring not only includes The Freedom Experience (www.freedomexperience.com), but special one-day outreach events, and events at various camps, conferences, crusades, festivals and other evangelistic outreaches.

Brock, who acted as lead investigator for Discovery Channel’s the “Miracles of Jesus” TV special that originally broadcast during the Christmas 2005 season, has shared the stage with many well known speakers, leaders and artists, including: Franklin Graham, John Piper, Kirk Cameron, Luis Palau, Christian Hosoi (legendary skateboard champion), Corey Martinez (BMX rider from X Games 2004-5), David Nasser, Adrian Rogers, Casting Crowns, Relient K, Sonic Flood, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, Mercy Me and others.
