Cutting-edge Christian Illusionist Brock Gill has been wowing audiences with his mind-blowing shows, while also reaching thousands with his passionate message of hope. Continue reading to find out what Brock Gill is doing to stir up schools and cities across the U.S., and what the television premier of his recent DVD will reveal to fans everywhere.
(Nashville, TN) October 11, 2007: Released August 21, Brock Gill is taking his unique three-day outreach, Freedom Experience (FX), into households with the new DVD, Standing Room Only: A Behind the Scenes Documentary. The documentary premiers on television for the first time ever on Sky Angel Network Nov. 4 and repeats Nov. 24. (Check your local listings for times, www.skyangel.com). The documentary follows the daily struggles it takes to put on a three day long live show of death defying escapes, illusions, BMX stunt teams, pro-skaters, freestyle motocross, live concerts and the presentation of the gospel.
This fall, Freedom Experience (FX) drew an estimated crowd of over 6,100 to the three-day event in Stanford, KY, where more than 300 decisions were made to follow Christ. In Grundy, VA, a town of approximately 1,000, FX drew a crowd of over 4,500 people attending over three nights. Other packed out venues this fall include FX events in Williamston, NC and Palm Coast, FL. The next FX Event is scheduled to take place in Corpus Christi, TX Nov. 6-8. “Ten years ago, if you would have told me that I would be doing outreaches for cities in the way we are seeing now, I would have thought that it was crazy,” says Gill. “I am amazed at what God has done, and I’m excited to see what He has planned for the next 10 years.”
Part of the three day FX outreach event includes school assemblies in local middle and high schools. The FX team goes into the schools during the day to give students a glimpse of what they’ll encounter at FX and Brock Gill speaks to the students on making good choices, while incorporating illusions into his message.
Freedom Experience is also planning to give away about 2,000 Bibles this fall in four different cities. “One of our board members decided to provide a matching grant so that we can give every person, young or old, a free Bible if they don't own one,” says Executive Director Gresham Hill. “We’re excited because 80% of our crowds will be unchurched and we believe God's Word is the most powerful tool we can give to a non-believer when we’re with them in a city.”
Illusionist, Brock Gill had an estimated total of 200,000 people attend his live shows last year. His touring not only includes The Freedom Experience (www.freedomexperience.com), but special one-day outreach events, and events at various camps, conferences, crusades, festivals and other evangelistic outreaches.
Brock, who acted as lead investigator for Discovery Channel’s the “Miracles of Jesus” TV special that originally broadcast during the Christmas 2005 season, has shared the stage with many well known speakers, leaders and artists, including: Franklin Graham, John Piper, Kirk Cameron, Luis Palau, Christian Hosoi (legendary skateboard champion), Corey Martinez (BMX rider from X Games 2004-5), David Nasser, Adrian Rogers, Casting Crowns, Relient K, Sonic Flood, Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day, Mercy Me and others.
