If you didn't already know, Carriers Of The Cross are a Christ-centered, non-compromising duo that brings forth music saturated with God's Truths as Hip-Hop Missionaries. Formed originally in October 1998 at a church in Paterson, New Jersey, these two young men, Jeremiah "Proph" and Eddie Substance,"shared a burning desire to present Christ, in fullness, to the youth culture in a manner they could relate to. Realizing that Hip-Hop was the perfect tool for the job they began their mission and have since been diligent in their calling and became incorporated as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit ministry. In August 2006, The Carriers released their most recent full-length album titled "Against The Grain" with Holy Hip-Hop/EMIgospel. Currently "Against The Grain" is available in stores everywhere and has received kudos from listeners worldwide becoming an eligible entry for the "Dove Award" Album of the Year. With a scripture verse backing each song on this album, it is certainly one that seeks to represent Christ to the fullest. The "Against The Grain" concept is based on the scripture found in Romans 12:22 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Carriers Of The Cross urge the youth of today to live "Against The Grain" of what this world deems acceptable and to solely live by God’s standards placed forth in the Scriptures.
