After reviews heralding Atlantic/Word Records’ band NEEDTOBREATHE’s latest, “The Heat,” and FOUR straight weeks at No. 1 on Christian CHR with “Signature of Divine (Yaweh)’, ESPN has just confirmed use of the band’s song “Streets of Gold” from “The Heat” for this weekend’s Homestead-Miami Speedway NASCAR race, as well as practice/qualifying coverage and the NASCAR Countdown show.

In addition, the song “More Time” (also from “The Heat”) will be included both in the movie and on Atlantic Records’ soundtrack for the new film P.S. I Love You starring Hillary Swank, Lisa Kudrow and Harry Connick Jr., which hits theaters December 21st.

MTV shows “The Hills” and “Newport Harbor” recently picked up two of the band’s songs for use in their shows as well. “The Hills” used “We Could Run Away” from “The Heat”, while “Newport Harbor” used their 2006 debut project’s hit song “Shine On.” In addition, Fox TV used “Nothing Left to Lose” from “The Heat” for their Monday night promos for shows Prison Break and K-ville.

NEEDTOBREATHE is no stranger to having their songs used in TV and film. Last fall, Fox Sports used "Don't Wait For Daylight" in their television coverage of the World Series, and “Shine On” was used in the Dane Cook film “Employee of the Month.”

NEEDTOBREATHE is on the road this fall doing their own headline shows. Go to http://www.myspace.com/needtobreathe for more information.
