Fans flooded 19 sold-out venues on David Crowder Band’s 28-city “REMEDY Club Tour.” Their enthusiasm has helped collect thousands of socks and towels that will be donated to local homeless shelters across the country.
Joined by openers Phil Wickham and The Myriad, David Crowder Band’s “REMEDY Club Tour” kicked off last month, selling out cities like Dallas, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, New York, Washington D.C. and Atlanta to name a few. The tour collected truckloads of socks and towels for the homeless and partnered with more than 28 outreach programs nationwide. “The most amazing thing about this tour has been watching people respond to the towels and socks,” says Crowder. “It’s incredible to see something so simple unite us and point us outward. The generosity of the folks showing up has been nothing short of beautiful and inspiring.”
At two of those packed venues, The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York and Atlanta’s Tabernacle, the show was filmed live for a full-length DVD that will release in April. A complete full-length CD/DVD set will also be available next fall.
The band’s first studio recording since A Collision in 2005, REMEDY is a continuation of its predecessor, offering ten accessible, pop-centric tracks that dive deep into the theology of worship. Produced by David Crowder Band, the album addresses what it means to be part of the remedy in today’s ailing world, hoping to drive fans toward tangible action. In addition to impacting national audiences on tour, David Crowder Band’s REMEDY is also making an impression at radio, peaking at No. 4 on Radio & Records’ AC Monitored chart, No. 3 on its AC Indicator chart as well as No. 9 on CHR with “Everything Glorious.” Additionally, the album debuted at No. 1 on SoundScan’s Current Contemporary Christian Overall chart, No. 22 on The Billboard 200, and peaked at No. 4 on iTunes Top 100 Albums chart. REMEDY is David Crowder Band’s highest debut to date, with critics calling it the group’s best album yet.
