Supertones Live & Clear Spring Tour
Source: Alabaster Arts
Date Posted: January 17,2002

Just as plans are being finalized for the upcoming March 26 release of Supertones Live! (Vol. 1), BEC recording artist OC Supertones will hit the road in February for the "Live & Clear" Spring 2002 Tour, a follow-up to last year’s "Loud and Clear Dance Party USA" tour. The spring tour will feature ForeFront rap-core/rock band PAX217, Tooth & Nail’s punk popsters Slick Shoes, and brand new Tooth & Nail act Kutless.

The "Live & Clear" Tour kicks off in early February and will run through the end of March. The tour is slated to hit 15-20 markets including Arlington, Texas; Des Moines, Iowa; Tulsa, Okla.; Norfolk, Va. and more.

The Supertones’ "Loud and Clear Dance Party USA" tour was a 60-city success, with more than 60% of the tour’s shows selling out. Following the "Loud and Clear Dance Party USA" tour, the Supertones co-headlined the precedent-setting "Festival Con Dios" tour last spring and fall with fellow artists Newsboys and Audio Adrenaline. The "Festival Con Dios" tour garnered major media attention nationwide, including a cover story in Newsweek magazine.

The upcoming Supertones Live! (Vol.1) is the live follow-up to the Supertones’ acclaimed Loud and Clear which released in the fall of 2000. The Supertones have sold more than 900,000 albums to date in the band’s six-year career, and Loud and Clear remained a dominant presence on the Christian market’s SoundScan rock sales chart.

PAX217’s self-titled debut project, released on ForeFront Records in early 2000, placed the group on the Christian music map. Hailing from the Supertones’ home turf of Orange County, California, PAX217’s sound combines traces of reggae with punk and rock. The band is currently putting the finishing touches on its brand new project, Engage, which is slated to release in May of this year.

Tooth & Nail’s punk/pop/rock band Slick Shoes released its debut project, Wake Up Screaming, in mid-2000, and hit the ground running. The band recently performed a show at Anaheim, California’s famous House of Blues. In between tour dates the band is currently finishing up its newest self-titled project, scheduled to release in early April.

Kutless is a brand new signing to the Tooth & Nail artist roster, with an album slated to release later this year. Based in Portland, Oregon, this five-piece hard rock band formed in 1999 when its members were in college. Since then, the group has performed numerous concerts throughout the entire Pacific Northwest, including slots on the Extreme Days Tour and the HardRockPunkFest.
