The debut artist from church-focused label Doxology Records, Allen Asbury is making an impact on radio, at retail, in media and at churches across the country with Somebody's Praying Me Through.

As the album debuted on its June 18 street date, Asbury appeared on the nationally televised “At Home Live with Chuck and Jenni,” performing “All About Grace,” as well as the title cut, Somebody’s Praying Me Through. Asbury has also performed on the syndicated morning show “New Harvest,” hosted by former Miss America Debra Maffett, and has spent the last several months performing across the country in support of Somebody’s Praying Me Through, as well as visiting radio stations and media.

During his travels, Asbury has visited 18 markets, including Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles, and over 140 retail stores. In addition to solo performances, Asbury has also joined Curb Records Dove Award-winning artist Selah for several dates. He will also perform at the annual Praise Gathering event alongside such artists as Ginny Owens, Sandi Patty and The Katinas to a slated attendance of over 12,000 fans. In January 2003, Asbury will perform at the Focus on the Family corporate chapel to its staff of over 1500 employees.

With his first single, a duet with Russ Lee entitled “All About Grace,” airing at radio stations nationally, the song has found success at both AC (adult contemporary) and Inspirational formats. “All About Grace” reached top 20 status on the R&R AC Top 30 chart and top 10 on the Inspo Top 20 chart (Radio & Records, August 23, 2002).

Recently, Allen Asbury performed for retailers at the CBA International Convention in Anaheim, CA, where he showcased songs from Somebody’s Praying Me Through at events for Parable and Munce retailers, as well as at the event’s Wednesday devotionals, prior to speaker and best-selling author of The Prayer of Jabez, Bruce Wilkinson. He has also performed for the 50-store Lemstone Christian Stores national sales conference in the Chicago area, and at the 330-store Family Christian Stores managers’ conference in Phoenix, AZ.

Somebody’s Praying Me Through is the debut release from Allen Asbury, who was brought to Doxology Records by label Board of Directors’ member and Christian music patriarch Bill Gaither. Doxology Records is based in Franklin, TN, and is headed by President Dan Posthuma, and the support of a multi-faceted Board of Directors that include veterans in all facets of Christian music.
