World Vision-Sponsored All God's Children Tour Features Global Cast
Source: Inpop Records
Date Posted: March 7,2005

The World Vision-sponsored All God’s Children Tour will feature a bevy of international talent with a triple headlining bill including Inpop Records’ artists Tree 63 and Paul Colman, and Word Records’ artist Building 429. South African-bred pop/rock band Tree63, former Paul Colman Trio leader and native Australian Paul Colman, and Word Records’ American rockers Building 429 will kick off the All God’s Children Tour on March 4 in Belton, Texas.  German-based J-STAR Records artist Claas P. Jambor will open on all dates. The All God’s Children Tour will hit over 30 cities, including Phoenix, Arizona; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The pairing of talents, world music influences and accents make this tour a unique experience, as all four acts hail from various parts of the globe. Each headlining artist has achieved success in his respective home abroad and in the United States. Tree63, Paul Colman and Building 429 share various Dove Award accolades - past and present - celebrating their talent and popularity here in the United States.

“The All God’s Children Tour has been an exciting tour to represent,” says Jeff Roberts of Jeff Roberts & Associates, the agency booking the tour. “The response from the promoters has been overwhelming, and we’re looking forward to a bunch of great dates,” he says.

South African-bred Tree63 burst onto the American Christian music scene five years ago with a string of singles from its self-titled Inpop debut. The album debut yielded a 2001 Dove Award for “Rock Album of the Year” and landed Tree63 a coveted spot on the 2002 Festival Con Dios Tour.  Last year brought unprecedented success for the band as its single, “Blessed Be Your Name,” garnered Billboard Magazine’s No.1 “Most Played Christian Song of the Year” award. Additionally, the hit single recently drew Dove nominations for the prestigious “Song of the Year” and “Worship Song of the Year” awards. Tree63’s March 1 release, The Answer To The Question- Expanded Edition, follows up the successful February 2004 release and includes new songs like the band’s current single “Maker Of All Things.”

Paul Colman, former frontman for Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning act Paul Colman Trio, will support his first solo effort in seven years, Let It Go, on the All God’s Children Tour. Let It Go, produced Ed Cash (Bebo Norman, Bethany Dillon) and Vince Emmett (Rebecca St. James), features 11 well-crafted pop tracks all written or co-written by Colman. Colman joined Inpop Records’ roster last year after a three-year stint with Essential Records. Colman’s current single, “Gloria,” hit No. 1 on the Australian Christian music charts this week, making that song Colman’s eighth No. 1 in his home country. “Gloria” is the highest debut charting single as well as the most added song.

Word Records artist Building 429 first made headlines with their Glory Defined EP, released in April 2004. A multi-format success, “Glory Defined” hit No.1 on eight AC and CHR charts, staying at the top of Christian Radio Weekly’s AC chart for 10 consecutive weeks—a spot it claimed faster than any single in the publication’s history. Space In Between Us, the band’s July 2004 full-length release, paved the way for four Dove nominations, including “New Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year.” Building 429 is recently wrapping up the Winter Jam 2005 tour with Toby Mac, Rachel Lampa, Tait, and Newsong.
