***On the heels of celebrating their No. 1 and Top 5 CHR (R&R) radio hit "Caroline" (#1 on Christian Rock and #5 on Christian CHR for 6 weeks) rockers Seventh Day Slumber recently completed their first year as a BEC Recording artist at GMA, performing at BEC's late night showcase and making interview rounds with print media and radio.
***SDS lead singer Joseph Rojas is honored to be a part of Max Lucado’s new mega-bestselling book It’s Not About Me teen edition, live like you mean it. The book explores how from day one we’ve been demanding our own way, and we’re still constantly bombarded with messages telling us to “look out for #1.” It sounds reasonable, but what happens when we just end up feeling unsatisfied and empty? That’s how Rojas felt and as a teen from a broken home, troubled past, drug abuse and attempted suicide, he finally realized that God had not forgotten him and called out to Jesus to save his life. Rojas' inspirational testimony was captured in this book, hoping to inspire all teens to come to know God and to call out to Him when they also find themselves unsatisfied and empty. He realized it wasn’t about him, but instead it was all about God!
***Seventh Day Slumber is currently on their Once Upon A Shattered Life headline tour with supporting acts Sevenglory, Benjamin and Red Umbrella. In July they embark on the Day Of Rock tour with supporting acts Day Of Fire and Krystal Meyers. This Fall they will be part of the third national ShoutFest tour. SDS will also perform at the following major festivals this summer: LifeFest, Spirit West, ProLife, Kingdom Bound, Let Freedom Ring, Newsong Festival, FreedomFest 2005 and Joshua Fest.
