Midas Records announces the addition of teen rocker Jessie Daniels to its Nashville roster. Daniels is the first faith-based artist signed to Midas, which has recently expanded into the contemporary Christian market.
Midas Records A&R executive Brad Allen explains, “I knew my two-year-long search to deliver music with a positive message to a broader audience was over upon meeting Jessie Daniels. I was instantly convinced that this New York teenager’s talent and message would drive the launch of the Midas CCM division.”
Eighteen year-old Jessie Daniels hails from Long Island, N.Y. An actress since the age of eight, Daniels has appeared in multiple independent films as well as commercials for MTV and Lifetime. In 2003, she began writing and recording her first music project, a 6-song EP that released via her Web site. The EP garnered Daniels national attention, and she was asked to perform at Radio Disney concert events nationwide. Additional dates followed with artists including Seventh Day Slumber, Kutless, Paul Wright, and Across the Sky, among others. Daniels has been featured by more that 60 media outlets and is endorsed by Transitions Optical and Daisy Rock Girl Guitars. Her debut project on Midas Records is scheduled to release this spring. Along with Allen, Daniels’ marketing team will comprise Alan Siegel, former Trans Continental Entertainment president and director of marketing for Jive Records, and Andrew Patton, former vice president of national promotions for Provident Label Group.
“It is always exciting to be part of a project from the ground floor,” comments Patton. “Jessie is a real artist. Her songwriting, live performance, and forthcoming CD are evidence of her immense talent. I’m thrilled to be associated with Midas and its CCM launch.”
