Description of event:
S.E.A.S. is an annual fundraiser for Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach which raises funds for its tuition assistance program to help families afford a private Christian school education that might not be able to afford it otherwise. This year, S.E.A.S. & Christian Academy (CA) will be donating a portion of the race registration proceeds to JDRF - the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation - a worthy cause close to our heart. CA's own Ainsley Jordan is diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. Join WPDE's Ed Piotrowski and race, run or walk and help us find a cure! This is a big event open to the public - and FUN for the whole family!
5K Race / Fun Run: The race/run starts at oceanfront Plyler Park at the Skywheel and goes up the beach, over to Ocean Blvd., and ends on the oceanfront boardwalk. The 5K is a professionally timed race. Medals will be awarded for the top 3 overall and top 3 per age category. Register online at www.SEASrun.com or at www.active.com . 7:30am: 5K Race / $35 registration (includes T-shirt & goodie bag)
8:30am: 1-mile Fun Run / $15 registration
Family Festival 9am - 2pm: The Family Festival will be held right after the race and will have inflatables, games, live performances, music, food & business vendors, and lots of FUN! Unlimited use wristbands for games, inflatables & activities are $10 (excludes bungee trampoline & Skywheel). Food & drinks are sold separately. Purchase your wristband online and pick up at will call / ticket booth upon arrival. Wristbands will not be mailed.
