Phil Vischer's Why Do We Call It Christmas? Tour
Christmas for most families is an “event/activity marathon” where school, family and social obligations create such a busy schedule; it’s difficult to remember why we are doing it all. Throw on top of it the intense commercial messages and the need to buy presents and you have an incredibly hectic season where families are supposed to be party central while at the same time think contemplatively about Jesus and His birth.

This unique event serves as a “time out” (in a good way!) and creates space for families to recover Christmas. It allows parents to confront the tension of the Jesus Christmas vs. the Santa Christmas we all feel as we’re bombarded with commercial messages around our most beloved holiday. Phil Vischer gives new meaning to the traditions of Christmas as they do indeed support the celebration of our Savior.
