Kendell Marvel, a GRAMMY-winning songwriter, acclaimed solo artist and Spotlight Series alum, has been a significant force in country music for over two decades. Known for his blend of honky-tonk and roadhouse rock & roll, he’s penned Top 40 hits for artists like George Strait, Chris Stapleton, and Gary Allan, including Stapleton’s 2018 GRAMMY-winning "Either Way" and Strait’s "Twang." Since moving to Nashville from southern Illinois, where he played gigs as a child, Marvel has balanced his solo career—marked by albums like Lowdown and Lonesome and Solid Gold Sounds—with his songwriting success, culminating in his 2019 Grand Ole Opry debut. His latest album, Come On Sunshine, showcases his enduring ability to evolve and create, proving his lasting impact in the genre.
Joe Stamm crafts songs that transform the small moments of life in central Illinois into vivid, universal stories, drawing inspiration from the Illinois River, summer crickets, bonfire smoke, and cold garage beers. With over a decade of writing, performing, and touring, his salt-of-the-earth style and emotive voice create honest music that feels intimately personal, as if he’s witnessed your own joys and struggles, earning praise for his exceptional songwriting and broad appeal from outlets like Saving Country Music.
