Stars and Promises 2012, The Light Of Christmas

Stars and Promises embarks on its twelfth year, celebrating Christmas in story and song with its theme for 2012; The Light Of Christmas. Stars and Promises has become a yearly tradition for many, returning to hear songs such as Sing Joy, Junkmans Christmas, and Christmas Overture, along with other favorites. Those traditions play an integral part in our connection to Joy, and thankfulness for all we share with family and friends, and to our embracing Peace with those across the many borders we face in life. But Christmas is also about seeing, and being seen in a new light- a rebirth of Hope, in the star of Bethlehem, in the soft light of the Christmas tree. Even in the silent, dim light of winter, there is a chance for reflection of another year gone by, and of the mystery and promise in the season to come.

In 1999, Peter and his brother Jim began work on their first Christmas album, Stars and Promises. Since then, Peter has returned for 11 successful annual tours, traveling with a group of superb musicians that bring the music to life. R. Scott Bryan is on percussion and vocals, Marc Torlina on bass, Mark Holland, on native flutes, Chris Walters on keyboard, and Maggie Estes plays violin and mandolin.

The Light Of Christmas will feature choirs, children or adult, along the way, and a chance for the audience to join in the singing as well on an array of traditional and original Carols. State of the art production is in the capable hands of Chad Stewart and Stewart Sound. They have been an integral part of our production each year. Thanks for making Stars and Promises a part of your celebration of the sound and Light of Christmas.
